Privacy Policy

Hunch ("Hunch," "we," "us," or "our") is an entertainment prediction game. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Hunch mobile app (the "App"), how we use it, and who we share it with. Hunch involves no real money, gambling, deposits, or withdrawals - see our Terms of Service for details.
Information we collect
We collect the minimum needed to run the game and keep accounts secure.

Passwords: if you sign up with email and password, your password is handled entirely by Clerk (our authentication provider) and is never stored on, or visible to, our own servers.
What we do not collect: we do not collect payment or financial information of any kind - there is nothing to collect, since the App has no purchases, deposits, or withdrawals. We do not access your contacts, photo library, or precise location. We do not currently use any advertising SDK or third-party analytics provider - as of this policy's last update, in-app event logging exists only as developer console output during development and is not transmitted anywhere.
How we use your information
- To create and secure your account, and let you sign back in
- To operate the core game: show you questions, record your predictions, compute your score, and show leaderboards
- To keep the service reliable and secure (e.g. detecting abuse of the prediction/scoring system)
- To communicate with you about your account when necessary (e.g. security notices)
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers ("sub-processors") that make the App work, each acting under their own data-processing terms:
- Clerk - authentication (account creation, sign-in, password/session management, and social sign-in with Google/Facebook/Apple when you choose to use it)
- Supabase - our database host, storing your profile and prediction records
Polymarket: some prediction questions and their community probability estimates are sourced from Polymarket, a public prediction market. This relationship is read-only and one-directional - the App reads public market data from Polymarket; it never sends your account information, predictions, or any other personal data to Polymarket, and never connects to a crypto wallet on your behalf.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Hunch, our users, or the public.
Data retention
We keep your account and prediction data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your profile and prediction history are permanently deleted along with it (this is enforced automatically, not just a policy - deleting the underlying account record cascades to remove associated predictions).
Your choices and rights
- Access & correction: you can view your profile and stats in the App at any time.
- Deletion: you can delete your account from within the App, or by contacting us at privacy@tryhunch.app.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App.
